Creating an Office Move Press Release

For a Fortune 500 company, government entity, or multinational corporation, perhaps the most important part of the moving process is announcing it to everyone that you do business with, as well as your client base. For the majority of companies, a press release is a great way to get the news out as quickly and as efficiently as possible. However, creating an office move press release requires specific details and guidelines to make it to the point and positive. The office movers at Graebel Van Lines® work closely with workspace solutions coordinators at our sister company Optim Workspace™. Optim Workspace™ has the following basic format for an office move press release.

SAMPLE:

CITY (DATE) – COMPANY NAME announces plans to move its corporate office (or specific location) to CITY/LOCATION in DATE. The new office will be #MILES away from the current location.

Positives for the move: Positive reasons for the move and how it will best serve current clients and partners. Make this a few short, key points – up to two sentences.

Specifics for the new location: Outline the floor the office may be located on, elaborate more on above paragraph and what the move will mean for business. Elaborate on the new space dimensions, inclusions that the previous location lacked, it’s area and proximity to prime locations, highways, etc.  This section should be roughly five sentences in length.

Quote from CEO on the move.

Construction details and estimated end date.

New Address

New Contact information

Information that will remain the same.

Brief summary about the company. Roughly three sentences about the company and what they provide. Links or a toll free number to more information.
